Move The Selected Chart To A New Chart Sheet
If you are working with charts in Excel, you might want to move them to a new chart sheet. This can be useful if you want to have a separate sheet for your charts, or if you want to print them out separately. In this article, we will show you how to move a selected chart to a new chart sheet.
Select The Chart
The first step is to select the chart that you want to move to a new chart sheet. You can do this by clicking on the chart to select it. Once it is selected, you will see a border around the chart.
Copy The Chart
After selecting the chart, you need to copy it. You can do this by right-clicking on the chart and selecting "Copy" from the menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+C" on Windows or "Cmd+C" on Mac.
Create A New Chart Sheet
Now that you have copied the chart, you need to create a new chart sheet. To do this, right-click on any existing chart sheet tab and select "Insert" from the menu. Then, select "Chart" and click "OK".
Paste The Chart
With the new chart sheet created, you can now paste the chart that you copied earlier. To do this, right-click on the new chart sheet tab and select "Paste" from the menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+V" on Windows or "Cmd+V" on Mac.
Resize The Chart
After pasting the chart, you might need to resize it to fit the new chart sheet. To do this, simply click and drag the edges of the chart to resize it.
Format The Chart Sheet
Finally, you can format the new chart sheet to your liking. You can change the chart title, add a chart legend, adjust the axis labels, and more. To do this, simply click on the chart sheet and use the formatting options in the "Chart Tools" menu.
By following these steps, you can easily move a selected chart to a new chart sheet in Excel. This can be useful for organizing your charts and making them easier to work with.
